A lovely morning here in Hastings, but we still have company, so its another no birding day for me. I may get out to Rye Harbour tomorrow, so heres a couple of wader pics from my trip last tuesday.
Nice walk around a very windy Rye Harbour yesterday, not many small birds about at all. Waders were quite thin on the ground too, but managed enough for three posts today. Not very good at IDing Peeps, but think this uns a Common Sandpiper.
Not the best photo.. You can get quite close to the birds at Rye Harbour but as is often the case, the nearer they are, the more you're pointing your camera at the top of their heads! Still, even without depth of field, it makes a change not to have a Common Sandpiper surrounded by mud..

This is a heavy crop, even at 826mm focal length, but it's in flight, and I don't have many of these birds in my gallery. Apart from once last year, I never get close to these birds at the Reservoirs. There's no bankside cover, and the banks of most of the Reservoirs are very high, so these see...
