Yesterday morning I went to try to get some shots of the Waxwings which have been in Warrenhill Nottingham for a few days now, and whilst I was waiting for them to return I got this shot of a Starling and I thought how smart he looked in his winter plummage.
There were two Starlings in the car park.
The other one wandered about a lot and this one just kept guarding this lovely pile of grass clippings, calling all the time.
Great Skandinavian celebration day is here again to prove we are one year older again. ;) These are the birthday flowers from me and Ling. Ling wanted to get inside frames too. Happy Birthday. |=)|
One from the cafe and Visitor Centre area where we stopped briefly on the way back from Portland.
There were some Dunlin and Ringed Plovers but only at binoculars distance.
Well guys and girls I have just taken my first shot with a 'Digiscope' and I thought that I could share with you all!
I had been trying to decide which way to go... upgrade lens or go Digi! Well now you can see and what a lot of fun over the last two days! I have an old shed near the horse yards...
Introduced to Australia and not very common around my yard. A couple flew in this morning while I was waiting for Noisy Friarbirds to pose. Even though a pest in Australia I liked this shot.
Our back road seems to have an abundance of different birds. This Starling was one of about 40 flying around with a flock of Ravens and when it stopped for a breather on the fence at the roadside I was there, camera out of the window of my 'mobile hide' and , .....voila! They are probably not...
I seem to get some weird shots lately, this Starling was perched on the top of the tree surveying the area, very intent on it's duty, it didn't see me!! Fun one to share!!
This fellow was sitting on my TV aerial when I came back up to the house, the sun had just come out after an overnight fog! As soon as I had got my shot it was off!
