Another from 'my sanctuary'....the Swans were in abundance on this day and it was only by chance that I spotted the two Pink-eared Ducks hiding......probably the two that I had sighted further around the bend, a while back :) hope you all enjoy the scenery>

Usually the coots looks so...grumpy. But if you'll excuse a little anthropomorphism, this one looked quite happy and amused.
Right next door to Balgavies, is another loch called Rescobie, but it's a couple of miles drive to get there.
It a loch used for fishing, but always worth a stop to see what's around.
The light was not the best by now, as we were beginning to look into the sun. I do like the setting though.

A windy day last Friday, and these coots were paddling around feeding at the lake. Not sure why the coot population is so low this year. In years past, there were enormous flocks
was watching this guy the other day collecting sticks and disappearing into the reeds.looked alot as if it was nest building.it has been rather unusually mild for this time of year.
