Post-hopping at Grassy Point. Was evening by the time we saw it so light wasn't great, but still fascinating to watch as it caught, prepared and ate caterpillars.

This is one of two pair we have on this location pleased I got these shots before it was time for them to leave.

I waited for 3 hours just watching this dead branch, we have two pair of Cuckoo they seem to turn up every year.

Spotted as we drove down a rather bumpy forest track. Flew out and perched above me, which was nice, after we'd parked up for a closer look.

Sitting watching the local passerines for a suitable candidate for its egg`s,shame it chose such an high perch .

I dedicate this shot to my new camera without which this would not have been possible. :-O Now I know it's not up to Daniele Occhiato's standards but I was pretty chuffed with what I got believe me!

Managed to track this guy for a while early this morning and he eventually provided me with this opportunity. First ever photo of a Cuckoo, again very pleased!

The bird has extreme habits. Either its perched at the canopy and making continuously calls or it stays on the exposed twigs of the lower storey. It perches quietly and seldom takes off to chase insects like most other Drongo. When it is on the low level, no calls will be made.

Well its been a horrendous weekend here weatherwise, and as I type this I cant see out of the window, as the rain is just sheeting down again. Needless to say, its back to the oldies again.
