Dirty beak - Fresh out the ground and very dirty.

a curlew having a top up before flying off to the peak district for the summer,

Needed to goto shop this morning snow on roads but sun shining so decided camera in bag call at the River first,just before it started to snow again i saw this Curlew in the dark gloom sometimes work ok on seabirds better than great light well here`s my effort cheers now.

Think maybe my field craft is improving didnt wake this one.

I was stalking my resident Barn Owl when this chap came over to have a butchers at the proceedings.....very nearly took me hat off he came so low. Nosey parker!!

Another one from my trip to Teesdale,i could not get over all the fields covered in wild flowers and so full of insect life.Sorry the bird is so distant but i like the setting.

I was pleased to get this pic as it was the first time I had captured a Curlew allthough it was a long way off.
