This was the first time I've ever seen cygnets. So adorable to watch them interact with each other

Today at Tygum Lagoon the Cygnets were bathing copying everything mum was doing I caught the bigger of the four drying his wings like mum they are so tiny but one day will be as beautiful like mum just like a fairytale but true.

Cygnet - Who's a pretty boy then? - Taken today - yes we had sun in Devon & Somerset. Because of personal commitments this will be my last posting until after Xmas sometime. My wish to you all is "all that you would wish yourselves". Have a good one.

Morning all went to the local park yesterday and got this image of a Cygnet it was with the family but just slightly on its own so I could get it.

mute swan cygnet and juvenile blackheaded gull, what is interesting that both birds have raised their left legs together, so I could not resist the humorous title. Although on a road, as can be seen by the shingle, the tide regularly floods the road, further up there are sluice gates to keep...

On holiday in Center Parcs Sherwood Forest - swans settled down for the night outside our chalet. Very tame & wild at the same time, and a tad menacing - feed me or else!! I took myself off into the woods and got several close shots.

I finally found the Cygnets at the Reservoirs yesterday, there's a few Swans still on nests, but at least there's a few little uns' swimming around. The parents were digging around in the silt in the margins, so the Cygnets ended up looking a bit messy. Poor light again, but at least it makes...

Not exactly huge amounts of fieldcraft required, but I'm pleased with the result :-P

This young swan made a beautiful splash when it came in for a landing. It was a pretty evening and light on the water was just excellent.
