Colonising?
Also on the lochan were Whooper Swans... yes, no less than three of them! In the past they would occasionally be seen there, for an odd day or two, but only singletons. A rather pleasing sight really.- delia todd

Sometimes it's not really worth it
All I could make out through the mist were Whooper Swans and Eurasian Wigeon. What the rest were I've no idea. Wish I could make such images as good as Ove can!!
