The lake where I had shot these cranes dried up a couple of months ago. Mercifully we have had a few good showers in last two weeks & the monsoons have hit the western coast. Hopefully the lake has some water in it now. Keeping our fingers crossed for a good rainy season this year.

You'll have to trust me on this one folks, there really is Demoiselle Cranes in this photo, about 70 odd....It's shot from a fair distance, i reckon about 3km or so.
