It was a cold, grey morning when I spotted this male Downy Woodpecker through my window. While I can not go out, we can visit though my window.... That cheers me up!

My new "Go to Bird" this winter is the Male Downy Woodpecker. He consistently visits daily even if its brief. He's friendly, funny and intelligent - what more do you need in a friend?
