There's only a few apples left on our neighbor's apple tree but this female and a male took turns trying to get some of the fruit. Unfortunately the male kept hiding from the camera.
It took me a few minutes to get in a position to take this shot. I could just see a portion of the bird on the side of the tree. I'd move a few inches and wait, then move a few more and wait. Finally, I got to a point I could see the entire bird.
This little woodie is partial to the persimmons on our neighbor's trees. I'm crossing my fingers the people that just bought the house will continue to leave some fruit on the trees for my birds.

This is the woody that drills holes in my fascia boards that line the roof of our home. The bird is looking for the larvi of the Carpenter Bee that also drills holes in our home, and this is why a home is a depreciating asset. lol
