    Taken at Sevenoaks Reserve earlier today. I've not been able to identify it however. Any help would be appreciated.

    I took this shot at the same place I took photos of the Blue & Red Dragonflies. Completed my colorful Dragonfly day. Picked up a new bird that day too, Pacific Swift so it was a good day!

    What I believe to be a "Scarlet Skimmer". A common and widespread dragonfly. By the condition of the wings, this is an older individual and proabably in the twilight of its life.

    Dragonflies are graceful and elegant in the air, but when in this close it is a weird looking dude, but interesting never the less.
