Not sure about this..

This is also a graphic flutterer I think. There were several of these buzzing around the edge of the backwaters at Kumarakom, Kerala.

So, today's theme for me is dragonflies. I couldn't think of any witty caption for them .. haven't had my morning coffee.. yeah, that's the only reason ;-)

I almost see a twinkle in the eye and a smile on the lips. Guess this gal is wooing a mate. I think this is a female red-veined darter.

There are chairs, chaise lounge and other summer types set up in the heart of Times Square. This Dragon set upon one of those chairs and took in the sun with the rest of us.

Glad to be back again after a long absence, due to working overload! I spent some time ordering last summer picture and I selected a dragonfly. I learned Bellow's lesson about the difference between dragonflies and damselflies: my error was caused by the fact that in italian we do not give...

This is a picture of a dragonfly that I took last summer. Unfortunately I've been too busy with my work, and couldn't yet find the time to look after my pictures. This is just to show how sharp the Canon EF 400mm 5,6 can be when coupled with and extension tube.

Meaning 'dragonfly' in Japanese :))

Many of these around yesterday morning once the sun had warmed things up.

Saw a couple of these settle but not for long enough for me to move away far enough for my lens to be able to focus.

Been trying for some fliers for a while without success so good to get a few at last.

Lots of these hawking around a pond in Hampton Court grounds today....only photo opps. were of those engaged in perpetuating the species however.

Captured on a smallish pond in Home Park, Hampton Court earlier today...lots around as well as Common Darters. No luck with flight shots as yet though.
