Spent a cracking couple of hours sat on the edge of a high tide wader roost, with Dunlin and Ringed Plover literally running around my feet....what an awesome experience. Its amazing how accepting and how close these little birds will come if you just sit still.
One of the first shots with my newly acquired (used from BF) 400/5.6 lens. After a two year flirtation with the 300/2.8 (stunning lens but too heavy for my needs) I had forgotten just how good this little gem is and ultra lightweight as well.
Well Peeps,
Feeling quite knackered this morning. I went on quite a long trek on sunday, and managed to locate a family of Peregrines, with at least one juve, unfortunately no good pics. Also came across a distant couple of Black Redstarts, so two good reasons to be happy...
Waders are something of a yawning chasm in my photographic portfolio but that was partially rectified the other day when I had scores of Dunlin surrounding me and carrying on as though I wasn't even there. A truly wonderful experience to be in amongst them and snapping away.
