dusky honeyeater

This is about the plainest of our honeyeaters.

They love these flowers.

I hope I am right with this ID.

Another one of this Honeyeater.

Very similar to the Brown Honeyeater.

Normally these Honeyeaters are in thick vegetation, but I was lucky to get this one on blossom at the top of a branch.

I took this photo during my last trip to Queensland.

This bird was feeding on blossom only metres from our cafe table in the Daintree township.

Just a Great Pose

I was cleaning up some old files when I came across this shot of the small unobtrusive dusky honey eater. It is not a spectacular or colourful bird. But he is delicate and gentle and a delight to watch as he feeds on the flowers in my garden
