This is a rare visitor to California with most records in late Fall and winter. This individual was first noted on 16 February but went missing until 17 March after which it has been delighting visitors to the Guadalupe River trail daily. This morning it was giving its raspy "fee-bee” song...

As far as I can tell this is our most abundant flycatcher on the east coast, and one that has built its nest on our home for all these years.

My wife Kathy took this image while I was watering the garden they were 30 feet away, I never knew they were there.

It's been awhile since one came to visit me.

I was chasing warblers at Ft Lauderdales oldest cemetery when this beauty flew right to the top of a nearby gravestone. I clicked quickly but this beauty was too small in the frame. I slowly approached just as this beauty flew to the top of the graveyard fence and allowed me this look. The OOF...

This little guy visited our feeder station here in the forest. He wasn't feeding, just using it as arrest stop.

Another Eastern Phoebe--this one hangs out in the neighborhood the same time, same place every day. It always sits in the sunlight long enough for me to get some good close-up photos.
