This is the male. I'm not sure what this wild flower is. Stanley?

This particular Swallowtail has been quite sparse around here this season. Very happy to see it when it landed

Few and far between this season but a couple showed up this past week.

The butterfly is about to fly, believe me.

The butterflies were really flying this day. I must have taken 8 different species. I believe this female is sipping nectar from a Bergamot.

but it's made its way on to this Mountain Laural for a little nourishment.

I wonder if anyone out there know what the name of this wildflower (plant) is?

Lots of Pipevine and Tiger Swallowtails this year.

It was a big year for swallowtails in my area.

This butterfly has its feeding tube extended.

I had posted a similar one a while back but the background was a mat green from foliage, and here we have the sky.
