    Eastern Bluebird (Sialia sialis sialis) male. Looking proud of itself after finally making that other persistent male in the mirror go away, even though it had to revert to some unethical tactics. However, disappointed that it showed back up in the drivers side window (lol).

    Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio glaucus: Papilionidae) female, dark phase. It is interesting that only the female has a dark phase. She is working on elegant zinnia. Wingspan: 8.9-14.0 cm (3.5-5.5 in). Brazos County Arboretum, Bryan, Texas, USA.

    Seems I will be more sporadic at my posting for a few weeks. I am still recovering from my heart problems and doing well at this time. Jane had an old hernia rupture and has to have that repaired with a 8 week recovery. I will still check in and post when possible. I will keep Mali updated...
