    Maybe there is a pun in the title. I've been so envious of people getting shots of egrets catching fish ... Finally I think I got one that is not bad. Very happy to get this shot. The battle between the egret and the eel lasted a good 10 minutes. I felt sad for the eel, it desperately...

    At first glance, I thought this to be a snake that the heron had caught, after zooming in on several of the shots and noticing the slime dripping, I found the snake to be a freshwater eel. I'm sure it made for a tasty snack for the heron!
