    Robin Eggs in nest

Hello! Robins have been using this nest for at least two years and this year they laid three eggs. They haven’t been on the eggs much and I think it’s due to our dog. This is our first season with the dog. I checked the nest today as it’s been over three weeks since the eggs were laid and I...

Nest and Egg ID in northern Utah

I am a novice gardener and came across a nest when I was cutting back an overgrown plant. The “nest” (if you can even call it that) is a hole in the dirt of my raised garden bed underneath an overgrown tarragon plant. I wouldn’t even qualify as a novice bird person so I have no clue what I came...

    Hello!

Hi everyone! First timer here…. I joined because I have a Anna’s Hummingbird that nested (and laid two eggs) on my balcony. I setup a camera and am going to live stream the hatching! You can see all of the content on my YouTube channel I created...

    Wren

I hope I'm posting this in the right category... Anyhow, recently I hung a bird house that I built myself. As it wasn't very well made, I didn't really think anything would live in it, and figured it would just be for decoration. However, one day I peeked inside of it and saw sticks piled up...

Apologies if I have not posted this in the right area. I just created this account and not quite sure where to post. Nine days ago I went to take our Christmas wreath off the front door (I know... April and the wreath is still up). To my surprise there was a little birds next there. I put the...

Blue tit nestbox - poss abandoned - what to do?

Hi, we've been watching a beautiful pair of blue tits who have nested in our nestbox in the garden. Sadly, we think one has been killed as we found some feathers that looked like one of them and they haven't been spotted since :-( We are worried that there may be eggs in the nestbox and what...

    Mourning Dove Moving its Eggs

Hello, we had a mourning dove who nested outside of our bathroom window, on the window still and they had laid 2 eggs and were doing pretty fine, sitting in a potted plant with a fake plant for shade underneath the roof of the second story. We could easily see the nest from our bathroom window...

    Masked Lapwing at nest

This lapwing had chosen to nest on a round-about on a busy road consequently it was a difficult place to observe. I think she must have lost the first egg to predators and she gave up on the second. I estimated it was well overdue.
