I have sat and waited hours in the marsh reeds for shots like this, but there was no need for waiting this time. I just happened to walk up on this Egret trying to finish its meal. I shot it as it turned towards me as if to say, "Frog? What frog???"
A family of Cattle Egrets at Tansa Wildlife Sanctuary near Mumbai in Maharashtra, India. Tansa is a beautiful Sanctuary formed around the catchment area of Lake Tansa. Unfortunately its feared much of the wildlife has been lost to poaching, encroachment, habitat loss etc.

Driving on the outskirts of the city, found scores of egrets returning to their nesting place. The sun had just set and had to shoot from the car in low light with the birds flying away from the camera.
Morning all, That's us away in an hour for almost two weeks, we're off to Bilbao for 4 days and then to Gaillac for a week. No postings until I return, but if the Wi-Fi works as advertised I should be able to pop in and say hello from time to time.
