    Emerald- An uncommon jewel

An Emerald Dove. Sighting one is not easy. Imaging this shy bird amidst the dense moist deciduous woodland takes some effort. Processing this 1000 ISO shot was painful- and it had given only one shot! At the end of it all, a satisfying exercise.

this is a shy bird and difficult to get close to. The white line in the image is a spider web it tricked me for a while I thought it was something on the sensor and I might be in Doctor Singh's position - plenty of birds and no camera

    Emerald Dove

A common bird here, seen preening itself.
