A chance shot - she just flew in and landed very close.
Image cropped, re-sized, levels adjusted and minimally sharpened.

The pure white shoulder patch shows that this is a male Emerald Pigeon, whereas the shoulder spot on a female is almost non existing or rather dirty off-white.This bird was captured at the edge of vine scrub type rainforest, near our waterhole.
A species with large range throughout South East Asia, the Emerald Dove can be seen walking along the forest floor. This is a juvenile.

An Emerald Dove. Sighting one is not easy. Imaging this shy bird amidst the dense moist deciduous woodland takes some effort. Processing this 1000 ISO shot was painful- and it had given only one shot!
At the end of it all, a satisfying exercise.
this is a shy bird and difficult to get close to. The white line in the image is a spider web it tricked me for a while I thought it was something on the sensor and I might be in Doctor Singh's position - plenty of birds and no camera
