Another shot of the Magpie posted on 25 March, though if anything, even more "in your face". A touch of the Hitchcock perhaps...
Don't have bad dreams folks! see you in the morning.

Since the tree outside my window was cut back, it has proved a popular perch for several species, including Carrion Crow, Woodpigeon and a Robin recently, as well as Magpies. Although this bird doesn't look too pleased about being expected to pose for photos.
Thank you for your comments on my...
On Saturday 20 February, Bill (wonderview) posted a shot of a White-breasted Nuthatch trying to peer under roof shingles, to see if other birds had lodged food items there. I mentioned having seen Carrion Crows and Magpies poking at roof tiles.

Thank you for your comments on my pictures, stay safe and well, and good birding!

This young Magpie and a sibling had clearly been told to stay put in the pine tree while Mum was gathering insects on a lawn nearby. The two kids had been testing the boundaries and tiptoeing out onto the lawn around the tree, but when I came by they hurried back to the innermost branches and...
Hi folks, sorry I'm not caught up browsing. Long hike yesterday (17 km), overslept this morning, then baking and other chores. Will try to catch up now, but may not be done before tomorrow. Meanwhile ... the Magpie story continues.
As you can see from the other two shots for today - the...
