I'd just managed to find an angle where I could focus on this Magpie through the twigs when he put on an extra show for me by stretching his wing, catching loads of sun on his iridescent bits. Lucky with my timing for once |=)|

This one was waiting patiently while three others hogged the feeders. I was so happy to see one in the apple bush instead of on the feeder for once. Took a couple dozen shots, of which I think this one turned out especially nicely, in spite of the grey weather.

I followed this magpie backwards and forwards between two trees (about 20m apart) for approximately 5 minutes. It was intent on stealing bread being fed to nearby ducks. So it allowed me to be closer than normal. It got its food - I got my photo - winners all around!
