A bird With the penetrating eyes.

They stayed there distance away from me but I managed to get an acceptable shot of this couple.

spring has come.

Taken at the Highland Cattle Centre, near Stocksfield. Sitting in the caf, I noticed this acrobat on the wire outside the window.

this is one of two photos (untouched from the camera,other than cropped to about 100% and whatever compression takes place for the web site). Same bird left side/right side of head looks to me as if left eye is missing or damaged?? Anyone help with an answer? Thanks,take care Steve B.

No sky, no water, just a great bird

If you look closely at the eye of this Starling you can make out the half of an apple which it is feeding on. Plus, fragments of the fruit can be clearly seen attached to it's beak.

This dragonfly has it's eye on you. (It's a southern hawker.)
