An Eastern Bluebird Mated Pair. They have a nest going about 40 feet away in a nest box I put up. The female seems quite capable of finding the suet and dried mealworms I put out, but is always willing to take a break when the male flies in with a juicy bug.

Our Coal Tits seem to prefer feeding from the bottom of the feeder, while Sparrows climb all over it. Also Coat Tits seem to be far more cautious than Sparrows as the Coal Tits are always looking around before and during feeding
This Wood Pigeon had finally succeeded in getting at the berries on the Rowan tree in the garden. Not many birds seem to be attracted to these lightly coloured berries apart from the pigeons and starlings. A 50% crop from a full frame shot.
If you look carefully you should see a rather large fish.
Some years ago now, the RSPB staff erected a couple of telegraph poles for just this purpose. Prior to that you couldn't really see where they went to feed ... on a tree somewhere probably. They took to these poles immediately.
