.... a good shelter if it rains.
As she didn't seem that interested in the contents of the box.
A female Chaffinch on one of the peanut feeders at Loch of the Lowes.
TTTW
Can't be anything other than a female Chaffinch this one.
It really was pretty dark in there, but some brightness in the background. With Ann's encouragement and tuition I upped the exposure bias .... and up and up.... to the max of +7 on my camera!!!
And then when I was preparing it to upload...
Mrs C was busy feeding when Mr TS flew in (that's saved for another day;))
The expressions on their faces gave me the title.
I think this is the first time I've photographed these two species together.
Well I presume so LOL, but she's relegated to feeding off the floor!;)
Unfortunately it was a bit darker down there under the trees, I was almost tempted to change this to a b/w image as there's so little colour, but changed my mind!
TTTW
Just a little bit of colour from a few fallen leaves.
I'm not too sure how I managed to get focused with so little contrast between bird and background colours LOL.
TTTW at Loch of the Lowes
.... for this little lady.
I think she was wondering which of the many feeders appealed LOL
TTTW
Snowing heavily here today!! With frozen ice underneath - not good!
.... well it was a little dark down on the floor in amongst the leaves.
But it didn't stop her finding a seed, did it.
Sorry about the light, it was completely sunless down where she was.
TTTW
For some reason, I sometimes struggle to get pictures of these girls... and this one was no different - my camera struggled to focus for the first half-dozen shots.
Fortunately I got there in the end though LOL.

Woke to another heavy frost this morning!
Early February now, but a lull between the storms... not a lovely sunny day though (we had all too few of them).
This is another taken sideways through the double-glazng of my other window, but the focusing seems a little better. I had quite a few pictures of her, but liked the way here head...
