On the utility wire above my driveway. We have many of them, but I find them so cute.

If I am wrong on the ID of this bird please correct me. Don't know that I've ever seen them around here before.

Sitting in my Crimson King maple tree.

Perching toward the top of the tree where the suet feeders are hanging, basking in the morning sunshine, after the string of gloomy days that we've had recently.

Not done much lately ..... so thought I'd better .....

Not getting much variety lately but having fun with the with the visitors.

Well got another 2 inches of snow today then freezing rain, more snow possible tomorrow. Spent about 2 hours in my blind today. It was 27 degrees but 68 in my blind.....don't you just love creature comforts.

I think this bird may have a problem with its eye. The eye looked very misty, and the feathers around it looked uncared for. It sat on the fence for a while looking very unhappy

Very regular visitors to our previous house but since we moved here none have turned up.

Would've liked a more natural perch but this was taken right by my feeder. (taken from my blind)

A juvenile male. This species was formerly placed in the Emberizidae but it is close to the seedeaters (Thraupidae).

This one had more bright red than some of the other males.

....but I'll crack it. Full frame shot taken on a very atmospheric day.

This one was fluffed out against the cold weather and cloudy threatening sky's. Finally convinced my wife not to cut this bush back early....or compromised.....she cuts the bottom and leaves the tops for the birds.
