Here's another image of several clutchmates chasing dad around and demanding to be fed. They put on quite the show and DID NOT want to go through the trouble of actually getting food for themselves, they wanted dad to do it for them! I dearly wish I'd been able to get his beak in the picture...

Not the best quality picture, but look at these baby birds! "FEEEEEED US!!! WE DON'T WANT TO BE WEANED!!!" These little guys hopped frantically after dad, fluttering and cheeping their adorable little heads off. Father was non-plussed and appeared to be scolding them as he pointed out...

What a finely-dressed little, male housefinch! With his striped vest and his vermillion cravat... He looks especially pretty in the branches of this flowering tree. That day he was just singing his little heart out, too!

Have not been able to get out for a while. Today it has started to rain, but I managed to get a couple of shots this morning.

Captured near a feeder while waiting for hummers to appear. No luck with the hummers.

Lovely bird, very common in Colorado, captured singing in a tree above my head in the town of Manitou Springs.

Took this at about 7:00pm, cloudy skies.

Tried taking out the oof branch but could not make the feathers look right.
