Flying by the shore with what i looks some kind of fish in its talons ?
Looks like a peregrin falcon to me but need some help identifying please.
Walking through a wood near a loch, when this guy flew overhead - trees were in the way, so only got a couple of "snaps" - not a great pic. Realised later there was a fish in its talons.
At the end of the GGAS walk at Arrowhead Marsh as we headed to the cars in the car park. This is why you never put the camera away until you are at home!
Re yesterday's pic of the GCG with the monster fish, he persevered and did eventually get it down. Even managed to evade junior's persistent chasing and begging!
First time I've ever saw a fish in the mouth of a cormorant with my own eyes. Observed quite a few over the years, but never eating - fish usually gone when they surface. Was tempted to lighten the shadow inside the mouth to see Si the Stickleback better, but it didn't look natural. Three pix...
I've seen Jurassic Park and have no doubt this is a Velociraptor, although it might be a Grey Heron, which clearly is the same thing. Ah the canals - don't ya just love 'em. Part 4 of the "Feeding" series.
