Stopped for this one as we left the park that day. At that point husband either got fed up with waiting for me or figured I could find my way back to the hotel on my own ;)

This bright, cheery little guy was an extremely cooperative subject, flying off and then returning to the same dead thistle stalk, thus allowing me to take several photos of him at different angles. Love that "persimmon" color!
Hope you don't get sick of seeing the same 4 or 5 species from me. I wish I was seeing more variety. I didn't notice the spider in the upper right corner unitl I pulled it up on the computer.
This is my first picture of a dragonfly, not for lack of trying ( I chose the best one out of 10 or so to post). They never seem to sit still long enough, but there were several of these guys in the area and they rested for long periods of time. Pretty sure on the ID, but if not let me know.
