Brambling on a snowy day looking for food at my woodland bird hide

Great Egret & two Bronze-winged Jacana foraging in a dried up lake in the city. Fortunately, the lakes are slowly filling up after a few good showers.

A closer look at the lesser flamingos & black-headed ibis foraging together in Sewree mud flats, Mumbai.

I have visited the Sewree mud flats in Mumbai umpteen times, this was the first time I found a Black-headed Ibis foraging with the flamingos there. Shot from a distance & cropped.

This cold wagtail was searching our wall garden for food.

This fairly tame immature bird was foraging on foot along the roadside. Here a leaf had been lifted up to check for hidden food items.

Taken in late evening sunlight.

First recording of this sparrow - thought it was a white crowned at first so almost ignored the little fella.
