Gadwall on Lackford Lakes

I liked the light on the water with this snap of another Gadwall

This was a long shot and I made it HDR for better contrast

Not very common around here in Japan. A small flock of about 10 birds was feeding along with the teals and wigeons at the river bank.

I pulled out the hide and arrived at the lake just before sunrise hoping for some closer action - guess they were to smart for me as the only ducks that got within 150' were 2 pair of dabbling Gadwalls. Taken at about 130' without all the detail I'd like it does show the classic Gadwall features...
