Is there a more exciting spectacle than a Gannet feeding frenzy (or a harder one to capture on camera?).
I had to go manual focus as not even the 1D could keep up with these birds travelling at speeds in excess of 40 mph
In the main the Gannets stayed below were I was stood but for a little time as they returned back in from further up the coast a small group flew in high enough to get some really good views.
After much consideration, and filtering through good and bad reviews regards this camera I decided to get one today. I picked this up today and headed off to the coast. Putting full faith in the new camera I got I left my older camera in the car and walked to the cliffs to find a superb day...
Those of you who know Jim Morris will be pleased to hear that he has returned home after a long spell in hospital. I'm sure you'll all join me in wishing him a speedy recovery.
