Chaos in the garden on snowy day
February 9th saw a day of sleet and snow with cold wind blowing all day. The birds flocked to the feeders, mainly Chaffinch but a good showing of five or more Brambling made it a good day for me and the camera. February 9th in the snow -

Portrait of a Blackbird

Anna's Hummingbird UCSC Arboretum California
The University of California Santa Cruz has this fabulous Arboretum with plants from all over the world. This section was alive with hummers. I stood amongst them, very still, and was able to get this shot. It was pretty exciting. There were probably 20-30 hummers within 5 feet of me.- LadyWhoLovesBirds
