I have chosen to include a lot of leafage in this shot because I like the new shining leaves.

Seen on June 23, 2014 in Divjaka Karavasta National Park, Albania. Not sure even what group this guy might belong to, so an ID would be appreciated.

Also taken yesterday on the roadside verge will catch up on comments during the day

The primary object of this shot was the Gatekeeper Butterfly. However, on seeing the image I was struck by the waves of yellow so haven't cropped in. You can imaginge the insect surfing the wind waves!

I was delighted to see that bank of all sorts of country flowers .I didn't know where to turn to because I wanted to take pictures of all of them. It was a dull , heavy morning but the butterfly was a great find to me.

When I got my new camera I was desperate to start practicing with it. Since it was a season when most passerines are very inconspicuous I ended up taking a lot of pictures of invertebrates. I'm getting more into that, and thought I'll upload some photos from the summer...

It is Butterfly weekend here in the UK,so here is my offering a Gatekeeper,the 1st I have seen and ID'd by Brandreth on the main forum. Thanks for comments on my bird shots,I have only just returned from a Harley Davidson bikers wedding reception.They were married on route 66,a dream.
