Even though it's not a great shot it is a great rarity,only the third find in Sweden and i was lucky to find the latest one. Sik Halland West Sweden.

One solitary bird well south of its normal range. It was a bit flighty so even with the 600mm lens I have had to crop this shot.

This bird put on a great distraction display, presumably because it was nesting in the field adjacent to the road my car was on. Glareola maldivarum

Several of the pratincoles in the field began circling overhead, so I removed the TC and got out of the car to get this shot. Glareola maldivarum
