    I'm absolutely fed up SF

"Well, do I look happy? No I don't. All I ever hear is "Oh look, there's a Goldcrest! It's Britain's smallest bird you know!" Smallest? Most insignificant, that's what they mean. "I must put out more food for the Blue Tits and Great Tits". When do they ever put out food...

I had a very relaxing time in Scotland. I didn't leave Helensburgh but still took an awful lot of pictures. It was dry most of the time and the rainfall we had was generally light. We even had 2 sunny days

    Grumpy Goldcrest

From a very large bird to a very small one. Not grumpy at all I sure but the down-curved black line stretching from the beak makes it look that way.

3 images of Goldcrest. There appeared to have been a newly release brood today. Young birds were reguslar visitors to the garden. The 1st hit the window and needed releasing from a spiders web whilst it recovered consciousness, placed in place of safety to recover, revisted later for it to have...

A great deal of catching up to do at work after last week's conferences but now we're starting to plan for next week's Easter break in the far south of Sweden and I'm really looking forward to the trip. I hope to see lots of birds and take loads of pictures. Expect to get closer to Goldcrests...

    A quick turnaround

Had my best day for Goldcrests for years on 9th April and a wish came true as well. Off to Lake Tkern for a few days tomorrow morning. Hope to see Bitterns, Bearded Tits and Marsh Harriers.
