    Rocky Mountain Elk (Cervus canadensis nelsoni: Cervidae) This bull elk is still in velvet. There were no other elk around.

    Sitting on the sofa, yesterday afternoon, I heard a golden oriole singing. I grabbed the camera, went out on the terrace and luckily it was perched on a carob tree about thirty metres away. I took some shots and heavily cropped them to get this image.

    These are 3 shots of the same dragonfly, taken in Singapore in early October. Searching the internet has proved quite difficult as some have been incorrectly labelled. You can find something looking very similar to the photos attached but can't be sure that the allocated species name is correct...

    This fox had a confrontation with the eagle the previous evening, and has returned for some real action this time. It charged the eagle many times, but it never really stood much of a chance. As a couple of foxes come to feed after the eagle left, the fight could have been about territory?

    The eagle has some dry grass in her claws. She soared until she reached a good height; once there, she let go of the grass, only to dive after it and snatch it in mid-air. I was lucky to capture the action.
