A tip for those of you that may be interested. On a dull day like today I place a Birch Branch out as a perch for the birds. First it makes for a nice scene but the amount of light that is reflected back can make a difference of several stops. Lower ISO. faster speed. Hope this helps.
This morning started cold, frosty and misty with visibility down to 50 meters. In front a dark background, behind me the sun had just started to shine, conditions were good for some nice photos.
This is the first one, hope yo like it.

Taking photos of this Goldfinch whilst it was preening I managed this very amusing shot. I am sure I will get some very funny replies from this one. Come on, this has to make you all smile.
The weather conditions continue to be bad here at the moment. Dull, overcast and rain. Still not the best for photography but wanted to try the 7d2 again with a different lens. This time the 300 f2.8 mkii bare. Very pleased with this result at 2000 iso.
The best of a very bad day. Heavy rain, wind, dark clouds, what more do you need to take some photos. This Goldfinch trying to remove the Greenfinch from the feeder.
