    Another shot of the pair. Also saw a dipper but didnt get a decent shot.

    On the first attempt, they flew away before I was close. For the second attempt, had to creep behind some trees to photograph them. The blurred edges are the twigs between which I had to focus. They both look like female to me.

    Thanks to BF Member Peterarras for correcting bird Id, he has proven I Am getting senile as my wife on many occassions reminds me ...er, I sort of forget that I guess, one thing I know, this bird was on the river and working his way to the bay... I think? Thanks again Peterarras for bringing...

    Taken in bad light unfortunately. We've had bad light for most of the holiday, and now the ice has melted so I'm unlikely to get this close again.

    Lakes are frozen so they have to stay in rivers and streams where the water is still flowing. Makes it easier to capture them. ;);
