This is the other one of the two Gosling that are left in that brood... well, it might be, they move around a lot, so it might be the same one ;)
I was using the TCON17 attached to the front of my 70-300mm lens Wednesday, some of the shots look a bit soft to me, so I'll have to find another way...
Managed an hour and a half at my local reservoirs yesterday morning, found a few youngsters. This one was tiny, and one of only two left of a brood... probably only a few days old. I noticed one of the parents had one badly damaged eye, so it might have been trying to protect it's young from the...
Difficult to isolate individual goslings, as they tend to bunch up at this age; so this is a very heavy crop from the corner of the frame.

I sat on a bench in Regents Park last week watching these Egyptian Goose goslings, who were happy to just set up camp in the middle of the path....so cute
From my bird blind at sunset, these goslings refracted sunlight through their down for an etherial effect. Enchanting and captivating, they were totally unaware of their surroundings even as their parents kept vigilant watch over them.
This photo was taken May 26, 2011 in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Canada.

This gosling is one of a brood of three that goes around with the other brood that contains the golden gosling. I call them the three amigos. They are about 3 weeks old.

This is the gosling with the forethright personality from my previous post with the little golden gosling from "Brave new world behind" A real gosling with attitude!
I love this little gosling. He is golden where the others are dark and he is so much smaller and doesnt seem quite so alert and wise. I was watching him sleeping and he sleeps much more deeply and is always the last to wake up and move off if danger threatens. He is so very sweet. The world to...
This morning there were goslings everywhere. I had goslings to the right, goslings to the left and goslings behind me. I really do wonder if birds recognise me as I can walk right up to them sit myself down and carry on and they never seem to mind. These goslings were very young and still quite...
