A cold grey rainy evening

I took this in the late evening on a cold, cloudy, rainy day. I can't believe it came out as well as it did. This guy has his rain coat on. Look at the long feathers on his breast and back that will drain the water off. Of course, he keeps it with him all the time.

Frog for lunch!

This GBH struggled with this huge Bullfrog , spearing it and dropping it several times before swallowing it. This removed a nasty invasive predator from the pond, one who would eat native frogs, fish and any unlucky baby waterfowl it could find. This is for Mark's wife who is very fond of frogs...

My wife and I were standing on a pier over the marsh and I heard her say, LOOK, moved the camera around just in time to get a couple of quick shots, this one was the best of the two as it was very close. Tomorrow the landing.

I watched this heron for about 5 minutes after he caught this fish. It took him a while to finally get it in the perfect head first position to his satisfaction before gulping it down.
