    The difference between this egret and the Great White Heron, which I have not seen, is the legs are yellow on the heron, which is really a white morph of the Great Blue Heron.

    6am on a rather dull morning yesterday saw at least 30 various Egrets at the " Lilly Lagoon" Water going down quickly since my last visit and not much else around , several Red-browed Finches and only one Baillon's Crake and one Royal Spoonbill

    I think these wild flowers look pink, but their name is Purple Loosestrife, which some states have as an invasive species

    Taken late yesterday arvo at my local wetlands just two minutes drive away from home. Not much water left now but home at the moment to this Egret, White -faced Stilts , Sharp -tailed Sandpipers and Red-necked Stints
