The main reason for showing this photo is that it is with my new Sigma 2x converter. I know a lot of people do not like these converters but I do get on with them especially with stationary subjects. This was with the 1dx, Sigma 120 300 F2.8 zoom + 2x. giving 600mm. The photo is full frame...
Patience has paid off. This Woodpecker has been so crafty taking the Walnuts before I could get the photo. This time my luck was in and I managed this shot which I am more than happy with.
No matter where and how I fix the nuts this Woodpecker always manages to take one before I can get the photo. Tomorrow my plan is Walnuts pushed firmly into a crevice. See who wins the next round.

400mm + crop factor = 640mm. Jpeg. no photo shop. The results so far from this combination are, to me, very good and I hope this information is useful to other members on the forum.
Through the double glazing in very poor light... and ISO 2000 to get 1/15th second shutter speed. I've uploaded better pics taken in better light, but just to illustrate one of the reasons I upgraded from a bridge camera, as I wouldn't have got this with the FZ150
