Well Peeps,
We had planned a trip to Rye Harbour or Dungeness today, but its just too windy out there. Went to the corner shop to get me paper and nearly got blown away, and thats 300 yards from the beach. I may brave the elements later, and take a walk along the...
Sorry that I haven't had the time to put much up of late, and my lack of comments on other photo shots, work has been mad, anyway I hope you like this shot of the woody,
have a agood weekend,..Ian
Spent a couple of hours at the Reservoirs this morning, and as usual, I'm uploading the first pic that's caught my eye.
Heavy crop of a distant bird, but a little closer than I normally get. Back later after I've sorted through my pictures (only took 500 this morning).
Had a nice walk around a place called Harold Country Park yesterday, weather was overcast, but some good exercise all the same. Spotted this wee fella at a distance, so its a huge crop here. We will be travelling back to Hastings later today, so hopefully see y'all later.
A not uncommon visitor to our garden. This one didn't get spooked when I took the scope out onto the patio. Nice to get a shot not through the double glazing for a change.
A different pose of the distant Green Woodpecker from the other day. As the other shots, hand-held @ 980mm zoom (TCON17 + Camera's extended zoom), so a heavy crop
From the Reservoirs this morning. A bit grainy, as it was a distant bird ,and this is a fairly heavy crop.
Taken hand-held @958mm zoom, but it's the first of these that I've caught on the ground, so I'm adding it to my gallery.
I'll catch up with what I've missed later if I can.
Another shot from the Green Woodpeckers in the garden in Devon. We are off to Essex tomorrow morning to Hazel's aunties 100th birthday party. We will be away for the weekend, with no internet, and I will probably go crazy. If I miss all your lovely bird pics, so be it, but it cant be helped...
Another part of the Pecker story from Devon, still more to come on that. We have just had the Jack-In-The-Green parade march past our house, and I can hear the bikes arriving. Today we will have thousands of motorbikes coming to town for their annual May Day rally. Being an ex biker, I will be...
Another one from the very productive tree in the garden in Devon. Theres more pics and a story to go with this session, which will unfold when I have more time to sort through the rest of my Devon pics.
Here's another picture of the Green Woodpecker from yesterday at the Reservoirs. This was probably the cleanest view that I had, but I still didn't focus on it properly.|=)|
