OK, not a great picture, but it's the first of these that I've added to my gallery. My other pictures were all in dull conditions; light was fine today, but it was almost impossible to focus through the twigs. Anyway, now that I've finally found a favourite tree, I might get some better pics...

Both the male and female were showing well but unfortunately, not together!

This gorgeous Female Green Woodpecker returned to my garden today. Taken through my patio window again, I cannot believe the result I've got under poor conditions. Notice the Woodpeckers dirty bill after prodding around my lawn.

Always dreamt one of these beautiful birds would show up in the wood one day. Today was the day that dream came true. Buzzing.

She looked up and wondered what came crawling through the thicket. Just me. ;); Not a great shot but somehow i like it.

Please don't go looking for fine detail in this shot - there isn't any! This photo is a technical disaster but I thought the Woodpecker looked rather nice perched on the gate. I have no idea why the gate is more or less in focus but the bird perched on it isn't. One of life's little mysteries...
