And yes he/she came again. Probably plenty of ants left for the Green woodpecker to return to. And ofcourse I had to take some shots trough the window again.
In this case I did not even have to leave the house!.

My first outing with my new lens - I sat down at the edge of a field and waited and within 40 minutes had shots of Buzzards, Green Woodpeckers and Nuthatches. An amazing morning.
