Went out for a walk up our local little woods yesterday, very quiet, so no new pics. Looking forward to our trip to Devon tomorrow morning, so today and tomorrow will be pics from our previous trips there. Same tree as in the previous pic.

It had just started to cloud up this morning when I noticed this distant bird, so not only is it a heavy crop, it was very grainy too. I sorted out some of the noise, but I'd have been much happier if the Sun had stayed out, and the Mist had cleared a bit more. Oh, I've found where the...

My quest for a cooperative Green Woodpecker continues unfulfilled. This one was very distant and feeding in a patch of sunlight amongst the trees. However, it was fully aware of me trying to hide behind some brambles and froze every time I moved. One day I will find a confiding one. Ron

Not the best of Woopecker shots, but I was pleased to get the chance, long grass shoots obscured my view somewhat. Deciding whether to help out at my local Nature Reserve this morning, it's still windy & wet here.

Well Peeps, Had a great night yesterday with the "Pram Race" with some of the pubs putting a lot of effort into their prams. The pub opposite us made a huge Herring Gull, with flapping wings, and fitted with a pump to shoot that nasty stuff out of its back entrance...

I managed an hour at the Reservoirs this morning, and I also managed to find a family of Green Woodpeckers. This is a juve and a parent. A bit distant, but it's the first time that I've caught 2 (actually 3, but the pics were blurry) of these together. Back later when I've sorted my pictures out

    A Pair of Peckers

I was able to get out locally late afternoon, yesterday, after the day of rain. I wasn't disappointed and came upon a family of Green Woodpeckers. With some patience, the 2 juveniles were eventually happy to feed, sunbathe and bounce around within photographic range. |=)|
