Another new one for me, this bird has been around my garden for the last couple of years over the summer months. I just happened to be outside with my camera and managed a quick shot.
One of a pair that has been resident on our farm for a number of years. This is the female which has a white eye-ring and streaking on the throat - not visible in this shot. Males have a black beak.
Also called the Grey Songbird. One of the few times it sat still long enough to get a shot. I love to hear it's beautiful songs with several variations. I have also heard it (only once, luckily while watching it) make a raspy hissing noise which appeared to be a threat at some Rosellas. This...
