It dont look like Im gonna get out much in between now and next wednesday when we go to Devon for a week. We have our annual bash coming up at the weekend, and I have lots of stuff to get done. Its Hastings Bonfire weekend, and Hazels daughter Lynseys...
I won't have anything new to post for a week or 2 as my car died on the way back from this session, so I may be posting 1 or 2 more Wagtail pics with maybe a swan thrown in for good measure while I hunt for a new motor.
This may not show the wagtail as clearly as it should, but it does show that they keep their windows very clean at the Yatsu Higata information center.
It seems almost insulting to call this wagtail grey.
Not my sharpest shot, taken at some distance, shot upwards (leaning back), and a bit out of breath from climbing already. Still - my best of a grey wagtail so far.
I chased this, well, crept fast, around one of the Reservoirs yesterday. No matter what I did, it always stayed just that bit too far ahead of me. I think I heard it laughing once.|=)|
Anyway distant bird, so a heavy crop - 980mm zoom hand-held, and the plant got in the way.
